Pan American
Biography
Pan American is the solo project of Mark Nelson, who also operated as the guitarist / singer for US post-rock group Labradford. In a more electronic vein, Pan American has seen Nelson explore more groove-based terrain, using rhythmic samples and a Fender Rhodes piano. His FatCat release came on the third split series 12" in December 1998, shortly after the release of an eponymous debut album on Kranky. As Pan American, Nelson went on to sign to Blast First, where he continued to release albums and to tour sporadically.
