Immense

Biography

Operating out of Bristol, Immense were a 5-piece instrumental outfit, whose sound recalls points stretching from Mogwai to Tortoise, Hovercraft and Shellac.

Another of the numerous bands discovered via demos sent in to the FatCat office, their initial CDR was released as a 12" ('Spontaneous Combustion') in 1999 to form the band's debut release. Received with great acclaim, it went on to garner an NME single of the week.

Shortly after that 12" came a 7" single ('Death To The Gremlins') and then the band's first album, 'Evil Ones And Zeros', which was released in late 1999. Since that album the band have toured sporadically, contributed to the E-RMX series, and reformed their line-up. In 2003, they released their last album, 'Hidden Between Sleeves', on the Fierce Panda label.
